The Heart Gallery of the South Plains is a unique photography exhibit designed to raise awareness of children who are waiting to be adopted. The traveling exhibit features Lubbock and area children who desire nothing more in life than to find a loving family and a “forever home”. It is our hope that these inspirational portraits will encourage people to look into the magical eyes of these children and become involved by adopting or fostering.
The first Heart Gallery was created in 2001 in Santa Fe by New Mexico’s Children, Youth and Families Department as a way to raise awareness about children who were available for adoption. Since the Heart Gallery’s inception, 120 Heart Galleries have been unveiled across the United States, with unprecedented national exposure and unparalleled increase in the number adoption consummations.
